Deewar: A portal from Cinema 73 to the world.
Dewaar, translating to ‘wall’ in Urdu- is a test urban screen on the street level to explore empowered social interactions and citizen’s engagement. It is a portal from one space into the next. It is an opening for a dialogue and artistic representation.
A toolkit that involves a screen and camera, allowing artists to showcase their art and see the engagement of the spectator. This is a pilot project of a larger project.
Current Project on Display is titled “Where are the Flowers” by Saad Aslam Ali. He imagines an urban landscape where flowers grow in the wild. He goes around the city, taking videos of flowers that he has spotted in various private or publicly articulated vicinities and treats them through Hydra.
